How the official process connects to the UK
Use the Jewish Agency process when applying from your country of residence and follow the instructions for your own file.
Order UK records early enough to correct mistakes, but do not legalise or translate everything speculatively.
Run schools, work, housing, healthcare and UK departure planning beside the application—not inside it.
Doing this with children?
How do we talk to children about Aliyah?
Explain what is being considered, what is not decided and what happens next. Let children have a different first reaction from the adults.
The short version
Three things to keep in view
Start at your current stage; you do not need to read the whole library first.
The Jewish Agency’s published official sequence is the backbone of this roadmap.
Your current written case instructions take priority over general guidance.
1. Start your Aliyah application
Complete the initial questionnaire through the official Jewish Agency process. It helps the team understand your status and the support your application may need.
2. Speak with your Aliyah Account Manager
A personal account manager reviews your details, guides the next steps and opens the route into your online Aliyah file.
3. Use your online file and gather documents
Complete the requested information, upload through the official portal and keep copies and confirmations. Exact evidence depends on your circumstances.
4. Prepare for the Aliyah interview
Follow the appointment instructions, organise the requested originals and prepare a simple explanation of any complex names or family history.
5. Eligibility review and formal approval
The file is reviewed. More information may be requested. Wait for the formal approval issued through the official process.
6. Finalise the move from the UK
Follow final official instructions while running HMRC, banking, pensions, schools, health, housing, insurance, shipping, pets and documents as a parallel UK departure plan.
7. Welcome home — your first 90 days
Prioritise documents, health-fund access, banking, communication, school and absorption steps, then build Hebrew, work, housing, transport and community routines.
