Three things to keep in view
Plan around dependencies, not an advertised processing time.
Keep application approval separate from financial and family readiness.
Review the plan whenever an official instruction, job, school or housing assumption changes.
Six to twelve months or more
- Research eligibility and open the official application route when ready.
- Inventory civil-status, identity and eligibility evidence.
- Build a household budget and identify tax, pension or legal advice needs.
- Compare communities using work, schools, healthcare, transport and budget.
- Start professional-licensing and pet-import research where relevant.
Three to six months
- Progress requests, interviews and document authentication only as instructed.
- Research jobs, Hebrew, schools and temporary housing.
- Model exchange rates, deposits, shipping and months without employment.
- Review HMRC, National Insurance, pensions and retained UK assets.
- Book refundable or changeable arrangements until key facts are firm.
One to three months
- Confirm formal status, travel instructions and current security advice.
- Arrange shipping, pets, medication, school records and UK notifications.
- Plan the first address, airport transfer, communication and accessible travel needs.
- Prepare the documents and funds required for banking and initial registrations.
Final month and final week
- Reconcile every traveller’s passport and travel document against the booking.
- Carry originals, medicine and arrival contacts; separate encrypted backups.
- Confirm temporary housing, transport and the next working day’s priorities.
- Leave a responsible UK contact with limited, documented authority where appropriate.
Arrival to first year
- Arrival: follow the airport or appointment route specified for your status.
- First week: check documents, health-fund access, banking and urgent family needs.
- First month: progress Ulpan, school, work, benefits and longer-term housing.
- First three months: stabilise cash flow, community, tax administration and routines.
- First year: review entitlements, filings, pensions, housing and the household plan.
