Is Aliyah.org.uk an official agency?
No. Aliyah.org.uk is a free information project from IsraelProperty.com. Neither Aliyah.org.uk nor IsraelProperty.com is a government body, the Jewish Agency or an official Aliyah decision-maker. The site does not decide eligibility, process visas, calculate benefits or represent visitors.
Who decides whether I am eligible?
Eligibility and status decisions are made through the competent Israeli authorities and the authorised process handling your file. Family history and personal circumstances can affect the evidence required.
Do I need an apostille on every UK document?
Not automatically. Confirm the exact document, format and authentication required for your file before paying. GOV.UK explains which UK documents can be legalised and whether a paper or electronic apostille is possible.
Is an ACRO Police Certificate always required?
Police-evidence requirements can change by case and stage. Follow the exact instruction from your case team, including the certificate type, issue date and whether a paper apostille is needed.
Will I pay no income tax after moving?
Do not rely on that claim. UK residence, Israeli residence, income source, arrival date and temporary Israeli reliefs all matter. Some qualifying new immigrants may access Israeli reliefs, but these are conditional and can require an application or filing.
How much Sal Klita will I receive?
The Ministry calculates entitlement using current rules and your household circumstances. Use the official guide or personal area and budget for timing risk.
Can I keep my ISA, SIPP or UK bank account?
Product terms, tax treatment and provider policies differ. Ask each provider what changes when you become non-UK resident, and take regulated cross-border advice before transferring, closing or selling anything.
Can I use this site instead of a lawyer or adviser?
No. The site helps you prepare better questions and find official services. Read the full website disclaimer for its limits before relying on any content.
Is it safe to travel now?
Conditions can change quickly. Check the live FCDO Israel travel advice, airline information and Israeli emergency guidance immediately before travel.
